Good morning and welcome to the blog today.
I have a couple of cards to share with you using the same colours of Nuvo Aquaflow but giving two totally different looks.
I love these pens, they are so versatile.
My first card features the Drumbeat Rhythm set
Tonic products used -
Rococo Plus Drumbeat Rhythm
Nuvo Aquaflow - Red apple, Spiced Ginger, Azure Blue
Memory Book Cascade layering die set for card base and sentiment plaque
Star Layering dies
Craft Perfect - Ruby Ritz glitter card, Chilli Red, Frosted Silver, Jet Black, Ultra Smooth white for the background.
I applied some of the ink from the aqua flow to my glass mat, spritzed lightly with water and using a dry paintbrush splattered the colours onto the Ultra White card stock.
For the star, I used the markers direct to paper and then spritzed lightly with water to break down the colours a little. I was going for vibrant here. :)
I used some stamps from a free set I had in a magazine and stamped the sentiment and border.
I used notes from our previous Music die collection for a bit of interest to finish out the card.
My second card features the fab Microphone Melody die set.
Tonic Products used -
Rococo Plus Microphone Melody
Nuvo Aquaflow - Red Apple, Spiced Ginger, Azure Blue
Rococo Music notes
Tag layering dies
Craft Perfect - Jet Black, Ultra Smooth white (for background), Bright White, Frosted Silver
Nuvo Crystal drops - Ebony
I applied a generous amount of ink from the pens onto my glass mat and spritzed with water. I laid the ultra smooth cardstock on top and swirled it in the ink.
I love this technique. You never really know what you are going to get. :)
I overstamped the background with Nuvo Metro Grey using a stamp from a free set I had with a magazine and just happened to be a fab microphone. I also used a sentiment from this set stamped onto a spare piece of the inked card backed with plain tags, distressed the edges and stapled together.
The microphone is a large die and takes centre stage, cut in white and black and paper pieced with frosted silver.
I added a couple of fine inked strips onto a black border and some Nuvo drops to finish.
These are beautiful dies to work with and so versatile for so many moods and occasions.
Don't forget to catch the shows on Hochanda today for lots more inspiration.
