Fairy Lights!

When I saw this fairy die, I just knew I had to pair it up with a wooden box frame and make a pretty light with it. I decorated the wooden frame with some of Tonic's pretty paper and then coated it with Glitter varnish.

I die cut the fairy from some pewter card and then backed it first with vellum and then a layer of acetate - to prevent the lights from damaging the surface of the vellum.

The coloured lights are battery operated and the battery compartment fitted neatly within the back of the frame. So that I could turn the lights on and off, I drilled a 1 , 1/2 inch hole in the hardboard at the back of the frame.

How cute would that be in a little girls room. It would look lovely with any of the new fairy dies don't you think?

Enjoy the shows

  2. Inspired treatment of this die, which I have on order. I'm trying to be patient waiting for them to come, but it always takes longer for me to get my hands on them, as I live in Ireland,
